IBM WATSON
The Science Behind IBM WATSON
One of the most exciting and rewarding projects I worked on in the London office at Hi-ReS! was the epic reveal of IBM’s next iteration of Deep Blue, IBM Watson, and in-real-life challenge to all-time Jeopardy champions televised nationally in the USA, in 2010.
What started out with a deep dive into Watson white papers and a meeting stateside with the principle investigator David Ferucci, evolved over 14 months from an interactive installation to a simple visual narrative. Its goal: explain the complexity of an AI designed for the Jeopardy! challenge without overwhelming audiences.

The New York studio teamed up with Warsaw's Ars Thanea, completing 12 different R&D projects for Riot Games over the span of 16 months.

Scalable naming systems for a host of product offerings & branded app solutions
IN a nutshell
In three short iterative sprints, and a little over four weeks time from start-to-finish, a host of scalable directions for naming systems in a new cloud-based suite of app solutions. A startup loosely connected with actors from GK Software Germany, a new offering and mindset for Enterprise Risk Management [ERM] software and applications re-designed for today’s workplaces.
CHALLENGE
Navigate a highly-competitive and heavily saturated marketplace with a wide variety of competing claims and nebulous brand promises, to find a novel way to address known ERM functionality and applications, scalable to a score of modular subscription packaging, offerings and modular solutions. Naturally, URL availability was a primary concern for any of the final candidates.
